CFG-BEE-D. Carydon Oscar MALTBY, b. May 15, 1838 (1835?) (Alanson 6, Zach.5, Dan.4, Dan.3, Dan.2, Wm.1). m. May 22, 1859, Mary Ruth GILBERT, b. Sept. 16, 1838; d. Aug. 15, 1906. He d. Aug. 11, 1915, Decorah, Iowa. He was in the Civil War, Company F, 37th Illinois Infantry. Private. (Records by his dau. Fanny.) The "Ex-Soldiers and Marines, living in Iowa, in 1886, p.52," records him as: "Private, Co. B., 37th Inf. Illinois." Address 1886, Union, Iowa.
