CFE-FAH. David MALTBY, b. Aug. 3, 1810 (Jonathan 5, Jonathan 4, Jos. 3, Dan. 2, Wm. 1). m. Oct. 1832, Betsey ALEXANDER. Rem. to McHenry Co., Ill. before 1844. d. Mar. 6, 1850, ae. 40.

Letter from a niece, who writes that: "When Uncle David knew he was going to die, he painted all the wood-work in the house black. It annoyed his wife very much. There is an old leather covered velume brought from Vermont, entitled, Life of Harlan Page. Harlan P. Gove was named for him. I do not think he was a relative." His widow re-married. "He left three sons." I have record on only one.

       Child:
CFE-FAH-A. Abner Maltby, b. Mar. 1838; d. Sept. 5, 1842, ae. 4.
